The Royalty Network and RightsFlow Partner for Blanket Mechanical Licensing

The Royalty Network, the NYC-based music publisher and administrator, and RightsFlow, the (also NYC-based) provider of bulk mechanical licensing and royalty services, have announced a new partnership granting RightsFlow a blanket license for the entire Royalty Network catalog.

The partnership will allow for RightsFlow to identify, account, and remit royalties on behalf of the more than 9,500 labels, distributors, music services and artists represented by The Royalty Network. That roster includes Pete Seeger, Os Mutantes, Girls, Tiësto, The Soft Pack, Jay Sean, Earth, Wind & Fire and more.

“By entering this agreement with RightsFlow, we are assured that our songwriters, artists, publishers, and producers are accounted to by RightsFlow’s many clients for all U.S. digital downloads, streaming income, and ringtone sales,” stated Frank Liwall, President of The Royalty Network.

Kim Gerlach, RightsFlow’s director of licensing, predicts further partnerships of this kind, stating, “We … foresee similar open data transfers with additional publishers in the future.”
