Electrcraft West opens in Hollywood this week

Electracraft NYC is a popular writing and recording room within the Fireplace Studios complex in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood. Clients include Fun, Andrea Martin, Melanie Fiona, Alex Da Kid, Jesse Harris, and more.

Now, in collaboration with LA partner Hal Cragin, Electracraft will provide a similar creative environment in Hollywood — “a comfortable, private facility for high quality song creation, pre-production, overdubs and mixing.”

Garrett noted in his announcement: “It was time to bring Electracraft to LA. Clients from the NYC studio have been asking for an LA branch for years, as songwriting has become such a bicoastal business with writers traveling from coast to coast often.”

The Hollywood studio consists of a control room, 5×9′ vocal booth and a lounge, kitchen and outdoor space. The studio is equipped with full Pro Tools HD 10 and 11 systems, vintage Neve 1272 mic pre’s, vintage FET and tube compressors, and mic collection that includes a 1964 Gefell Neumann tube mic, custom Dave Royer tube mic and more.

The new studio is located at 1556 N La Brea Ave. Find out more about Electracraft East and West on Facebook.
