Propellerhead Releases Free Reason 8.3 Update

Sweden-based developers Propellerhead announced the next significant update for Reason 8.

Reason 8.3 introduces a new RV7000 mkII convolution reverb, more user requested features, access to the the free Propellerhead music-making service, and further implementation of their auto-update feature that was introduced with Reason 8.2 for quick installation.

Reason 8.3 introduces new tools and interface features for free.

The RV7000 mkII contains a newly developed convolution engine that can cover a variety of spaces to suit any musical genre. Some highly requested feature updates include:

Access the browser window from both the sequencer and the rack window.
Hit the Z key and quickly zoom to and from your selection.
Set MIDI focus in the rack without going to the sequencer.
Plus, you get numerous other enhancements and bug fixes to make music creation even smoother.

Lastly, their free music-making service allows users to connect the free Figure and Take apps to Reason 8.3 for creating, re-mixing, sharing, and collaborate with other musicians all over the world.

The Reason 8.3 update is free to current Reason 8 owners. Those interested in picking up the full version can get it for $449 MSRP, with Reason Esssentials for $129 MSRP, and an upgrade from previous version for $129 MSRP. Reason is available for Mac and Windows.
