New Gear Alert: Antelope Announces Zen Studio Successor, Auralex’s 40th Anniversary Panels & More

Antelope Audio announces Zen Studio+.

Zen Studio+ features the addition of firewire connectivity along with a new customizable routing matrix and a powerful range of FPGA effects.

Antelope Audio, a company well-known for specializing in Field Programmable Gate Array-based vintage FX modeling, announces the latest innovation in its Zen Studio family of recording interfaces: Zen Studio+.

Incorporating the same key features included in Zen Studio — including 12 studio quality built-in microphone preamps and extensive I/O — Zen Studio+ adds Thunderbolt™ connectivity and a powerful range of hardware-based Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) effects.

A customizable routing matrix helps establish exactly the right signal flow for the way that you work, and makes incorporating outboard hardware and FPGA FX rudimentary. Built-in talkback control is also featured within the unit.

Pricing for Zen Studio+ is not available as of yet.

Focusrite Releases RedNet Control 2 software.

Users can navigate RedNet Control 2 via tabs, similarly to navigating the web, making the GUI super intuitive.

Focusrite has released a major update to RedNet Control, the software system that provides remote control for products in the company’s RedNet range of Dante™-based audio-over-IP systems. RedNet users are employing and planning ever-larger RedNet systems, and RedNet Control 2 was developed in response to this trend. Feedback and comments from users played an important role in the new system’s development.

Based around a web-browser-like tabbed graphical interface, RedNet Control 2 is designed to handle any RedNet system, from just a few units up to a maximum of 600 devices. The system allows for improved device monitoring, metering and control of the majority of device parameters. Available system components are displayed graphically, and can be dragged and dropped from a sidebar list into a grid on a tab. Each of up to 50 tabs can display up to 12 devices. Devices can be grouped logically and intuitively on each page. A tab can represent one area of a multi-location system, for example.

RedNet Control 2 is available for download here.
