Chris Lord-Alge is known for his huge sounding mixes on anthemic rock tracks like Green Day’s “East Jesus Nowhere”, Snow Patrol’s “Run” and My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome To The Black Parade”.

In these examples and many more, the mixer seems to have carved out and supercharged everything essential while also making room for these big moments that stick across the punchiest punk-rock, the soaring anthemic ballad, the sprawling emo-rock marching band and beyond.

Of course he also works with singers like Stevie Nicks and Tina Turner, and radio pop/rock artists like Katy Perry and Daughtry, helping to create those memorable moments around an amazing vocal, or riff, or hook.

In Part 3 of “Power Sessions”, artist/engineer/interviewer Erica Glyn asks about this process – what makes that anthemic CLA mix?  How does he do it?
