Bleeding Rainbow Sign to Kanine Records

Philadelphia indie-rock band Bleeding Rainbow (members of what was Reading Rainbow) has signed to Brooklyn’s Kanine Records. The band – whose rock is of the shoegazey + noise variety – will put out an LP, Yeah Right, via Kanine on October 9.

Bleeding Rainbow grew out of the noise-pop duo Reading Rainbow

While previous releases reside in the reverb-soaked psychedelic pop realm, Bleeding Rainbow says, “the sound this time around was more directly influenced by bands from our teenage-hood such as Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and Yo La Tengo to name a few.”

Yeah Right was mixed by Kyle “Slick” Johnson at his own Fancy Time Studios in Philadelphia.
