Event Choice: Music & Arts USA Benefit in NYC, Thurs. 12/20 — Live Rock Supports Music Education

Now, more than ever, the welfare of children everywhere is on our minds.

Rock — and we MEAN that — for a great cause this Thursday, Dec. 20th.

Music is a natural mix with our emotions at the upcoming Music & Arts USA benefit, taking place on December 20th in NYC. Founded and advised by some of the area’s top music pros, Music & Arts USA aims to make music programs far more accessible to students in NYC schools.

Your $35 ticket will get you access to an outstanding night of live music — with some REAL rock on the agenda — at 78 Below, 380 Columbus Avenue, NYC, from 7:30-2:00 AM. Purchase tickets here, and read on for more details from M&A USA:

“Imagine the holiday season without music? Unfortunately, this is the sad reality for schools all over the city. This is their reality every day. Budgets have been slashed and these now formerly vibrant rehearsal rooms and auditoriums sit silent. Many schools throughout the city can no longer offer a traditional winter concert for their students and families to attend. Music programs simply aren’t funded any more! With your help Music & Arts USA will change that by bringing Music Programs to 10,000 students in 50 NYC Schools for the next Five Years.

On December 20th your $35 ticket will get you in the door to a great party and help us a get little closer to that goal.

We have a ground swell of support from musicians across the country supporting our vision to ensure that those music rooms will no longer be silenced.

Some of our featured performers include:

Rex Brown (Pantera, Down, Kill Devil Hill) Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot) Alex Skolnick (Testament, Alex Skolnick Trio) Steve Augeri (Journey, Tyketto) Music & Arts USA’s own School of Hard Knocks and New York City’s premier hard rock band Dogz of Zeus.

The night wouldn’t be complete without performances by young aspiring artists like talented Singer/Songwriter Riley Goldstein and the incredible group I Space Walk Sometimes. These kids know first hand how important music has been in their lives.”
