SAE New York Announces Move to Chelsea Campus

Time to change things up: SAE New York, which has resided in the nonstop buzz of Herald Square for the last 10 years, announced that it will be moving to a new campus in Chelsea.

SAE New York will have a new Chelsea address, later this summer.

Starting this summer, the busy audio and creative media training school will occupy two floors at 218 West 18th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues. The acoustic design of all studios and control rooms will be overseen by Michael Cronin of Nashville-based Michael Cronin Acoustic Construction.

Students and faculty will find plenty of inspiration in their new surroundings. The newly renovated building is also the home for Company 3, a comprehensive post production facility, and Microsoft’s enterprise social network tool Yammer. The ground floor is also on course to house the event space for the Red Bull Music Academy’s (RBMA) new US headquarters.

“After an exhaustive search,” said Mike Morrell, Director of SAE NY, “we’re very excited to be moving our classrooms, studios and active Alumni Association to this high energy location at the center of New York’s bustling tech scene.”
